Dupuis.
Laurent Dupuis is VP Head of Product Management at Cavotec — a pioneer in shore power for over 40 years and a contributor to the international standards behind it. He is responsible for the company's electrification and automation portfolio (including shore power, e-vessel charging, crane electrification and automated mooring) across ports, maritime and heavy industry, and leads the team of product managers defining market strategy, roadmap and product development for these lines.
Laurent brings 20 years of experience in the electrical equipment industry, spanning engineering, innovation, marketing and sales. His focus is the gap between regulatory ambition and what ports can realistically deploy — turning proven technology into repeatable, scalable installations rather than one-off engineering projects.
Since 2024 he has served on the board of EOPSA, the European Onshore Power Supply Association, where he contributes to industry education, the sharing of expertise and best practice, and advocacy for policy that accelerates shore power deployment.
The Complete Port Call: Integrating Technologies for Maritime Decarbonisation
Decarbonising maritime operations requires more than focusing on the vessel alone. Every port call represents an interconnected ecosystem involving the ship, port infrastructure, terminal operations, mooring, energy supply and the efficient movement of vessels into and out of the port. Moderated by Laurent Dupuis, VP Product Management, Cavotec, this discussion will explore how the different stakeholders involved in a port call can work together to reduce emissions, improve operational efficiency and support the maritime industry's transition towards decarbonisation. Bringing together perspectives from port planning, harbour operations, technology providers and vessel operators, the panel will consider the complete journey of a vessel through a port – from its approach and arrival through berthing and cargo or passenger operations to departure.
