Nilay Nalça is a seasoned energy law attorney and strategic advisor with over 18 years of experience at the intersection of law, regulatory affairs, and the energy industry. She is the Founding and Managing Partner of Derin Law & Consulting and currently serves as Legal, Strategy, and Public Authority Relations Director at Akiş Group, where she oversees corporate legal matters, regulatory permitting, and the evaluation of energy projects across Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
Throughout her career, Ms. Nalça has held senior legal and strategic leadership roles at prominent energy groups, including Yıldırım Energy Holding, Odaş Group. Her portfolio spans the full lifecycle of energy investments — from licensing, permitting, and EIA processes to EPC contract negotiations, project finance, and commissioning — covering a diverse range of technologies including Onshore power supply (OPS) systems, solar, wind, hydroelectric, and thermal power.
Ms. Nalça has directed legal and regulatory strategies for projects exceeding 4,000 MW in cumulative capacity and has managed cross-border energy initiatives in Malta, Kosovo, and Albania. She holds a law degree from Marmara University Faculty of Law and is an active member of the Istanbul Bar Association’s Energy Law Commission. She served as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Energy Traders Association from 2021 to 2025 and has been nominated twice for the prestigious “Women Energizing Turkey — Business World Award” by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
