Jacopo
Zanetti.
Jacopo Zanetti is the founder of Mareiva, an independent maritime energy advisory based in Copenhagen. Mareiva advises port authorities, shipping companies, fuel producers, energy developers, and investors on the commercial decisions behind the maritime energy transition: shore power business cases, alternative fuel strategy, contract structuring, and negotiation.
Jacopo has over 15 years of experience across the maritime, energy, and infrastructure sectors, focused on decarbonizing shipping and the energy infrastructure required to make it work at scale.
Before founding Mareiva, he led the development of large-scale energy projects and green fuels sourcing at A.P. Moller – Maersk, combining commercial strategy, business development, and cross-sector partnership building across shipping and energy value chains.
Previously, he held roles at TotalEnergies, Air Liquide, and EY, delivering low-carbon and renewable energy projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Ship Readiness vs Port Readiness: Who Is Moving Faster?
The success of shore power depends on alignment between ship retrofitting and port infrastructure readiness, yet progress across both sides of the value chain remains uneven. This session brings together shipowners and port authorities to examine where the gaps lie, highlighting the risks associated with mismatched timelines, underutilised infrastructure, and delayed investments. By addressing both technical readiness and commercial decision-making, the discussion will provide clarity on how stakeholders can better coordinate their strategies to ensure that supply and demand evolve in parallel.
