Rhaili.
Dr Salah Eddine Rhaili is a Research Support Officer III in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Malta. His research focuses on renewable energy systems, power electronics and control, hybrid energy storage, and the application of artificial intelligence to energy systems.
Within OCEAN-H2, he contributes to research on offshore renewable energy and its integration into future green hydrogen systems. His work encompasses wind resource assessment and wind power forecasting, supporting a better understanding of renewable energy availability and variability for offshore hydrogen production.
His previous research addresses the modelling and control of wind and photovoltaic energy systems, electric-hydrogen microgrids, energy storage integration, and voltage regulation in electrical distribution networks.
He has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications on renewable energy technologies, intelligent control methods, and power system integration. His research combines electrical engineering, computational modelling and data-driven approaches to investigate the performance, reliability and integration of sustainable energy technologies in support of the energy transition.
