the desk.
DTF Maritime News is the specialist news desk for shore power and port electrification. Here is what we cover, how we work and how to reach us.
What we cover
DTF Maritime News is the specialist news desk for shore power and port electrification. We report on onshore power supply projects, the grids and storage behind them, electric ferries and harbour craft, and the rules that shape the market, from AFIR and FuelEU Maritime to emissions trading and EU funding calls.
We write for the people who plan, fund and run these projects: port authorities, terminal operators, shipping and cruise lines, utilities, suppliers, investors and policymakers.
Editorial standards
Every story is written by our desk in our own words. We report facts from company announcements, regulators, project owners and public documents, check figures against the original source and say plainly when a number is a forecast rather than a result.
Our original reporting covers interviews, coverage of DTF events and analysis first published here. We keep it distinct from industry news drawn from public announcements, and we do not publish rumours or anonymous claims.
Independence and sponsored content
DTF Maritime News is published by DTF (Decarbonising the Future), which also organises the DTF conferences. Partners and exhibitors do not approve our editorial coverage.
Paid content is always labelled as sponsored and names the sponsor. Advertising is handled separately from the news desk.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we correct it promptly and, where the change matters to the reader, note the correction on the article. To report an error, email media@dtfconference.com with the article link and what needs fixing.
The news desk
The desk is run by the DTF team in Valletta, Malta, with contributions from industry experts who write opinion pieces under their own names.
